I know on the concerts of old squad he didn't show anythink to remeber this man. He has tried to do something big and now he have his own band with not well known members: Gilby Clarke - guitar & vocals, Muddy - bass & vocals, Chad Stewart -drums & vocals.
But just read the influences: Keef, Ron Wood, Johnny Thunders, Mick Ronson & BB King and he sounds like The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, David Bowie, T. Rex, Cheap Trick, New York Dolls, MC5. So the old guard of rock. But he of course is looking for something more...you can listen to his music on:

..., I do not necessarily agree Axl gets a pass. Most all media reports are negative. Here's an example in 2006 the Stones cancelled a NYC concert hours before it was suppose to start. They gave no refunds, but rescheduled the show. Not too bad, right? Well there were many people upset becuase they booked hotels and could not get that money back... No too much attention for that, but every night GNR came on late was all over the news. At least when there were cancellations people were able to get refunds.

Related to the discussion earlier on here, in my opinion it's not like that everybody believes everything that he says or does, i.e. is drinking the Kool-aid (thanks '...' for the explanation!). But he definitely gets away with a lot more things than any other musicians would! That always fascinates me..

Guns N' Roses have announced that their 2007 World Tour will begin June 2 in Monterrey, Mexico.

The tour had been delayed because of an injury to bassist Tommy Stinson's left wrist, but the sprain is healing nicely and the band will be back in action soon. Unfortunately, GN'R will no longer be appearing as part of the MyCoke Festival in South Africa.

June will see GN'R perform three concerts in Mexico before heading to Australia and New Zealand. It's been 15 years since GN'R last performed in Mexico, Australia or New Zealand, and the anticipation is beyond belief.

July has GN'R traveling to Japan for a series of rescheduled concerts. Fans can expect to hear GN'R classics such as "Welcome To the Jungle," "November Rain," "Patience" and "Sweet Child O' Mine" along with blistering new songs from the band's forthcoming Chinese Democracy album, including "Madagascar," "IRS," and "Better."

I agree Axl does seem to get away with stuff I guess that other artist cant. It seems Europe and really any country other than the US is more forgiving though. There is no way unless Chin Dem is a huge success right away they could sell 36,000 tickets in a US city besides NYC. I know last years US tour many venues were actually giving tickets away for free...

Hey Chris, you're right! It wouldn't be possible in the US, only with an album out. I'm not so sure about Europe, though, at least in Germany people aren't so GnR crazy anymore.. But Japan, South America, Australia and many other countries are.. And I bet that's why they are touring these countries first!
