Good call 'Dude'...I think you are on the money there...Having not toured or played on released material I can't help but be cynical in calling Ashba a 'GNR' guitarist...Until he proves himself I consider this guy to be a 'GNR' nobody...I predict every guitarist on the planet will have joined GNR by the year 2032...you heard it here first folks :)

DJ Ashba is not a GnR guitarist until he actually plays a show with the band.... I don't see any reason, whatsoever, to hope for any shows in the future.

gnr4ever: its amazing how diehard you are about a lead singer who 95% of the time lets his fans down. I think CD was really strong (CITR is my favorite), but overall, your relentless worship is a bit silly.... the reason why everyone makes fun of Axl is because he completely brought it on himself... He has essentially done everything wrong constantly. No promotion? No Tour? Over 15 years working on ONE ALBUM? How can you justify these things? Is it simply that everyone is out to get Axl or is that Axl has simply pissed everyone off repeatedly...

All I am saying is take a step back and think twice about whether your enthusiasm us well-founded....

Do a little research on the guy; DJ is the initials of his given name, Darren (and I forget the middle name - look it up on Wikipedia or something). Yeah, at first I also thought something was up with the guy, like he spins records or some shit (the name can be a little misleading). I've only heard clips of the Sixx AM stuff; I didn't really get into it, but he sounds like a more than competent player. The real test will be how he sounds with Guns N' Axl, but who the fuck knows when and/or if we're gonna see that. At this point I wouldn't be surprised to see Axl just fuck everybody off and do a "one man band" tour; plucking bass strings with his toes, cymbals strapped to his knees, quad-neck guitar hanging off his shoulder, and a one off custom piano that he blows through a tube (like the parapalegic wheelchairs have) to play it.

$75 per ticket, plus $10 Ticketmaster "convenience charge"? Dude, I'm so fucking there!
