Axl Rose's Twitter Account Hacked, Tour Still On

Monday • August 16,  2010   1:39:46 PM   (CEST)

If you believed Axl Rose’s Twitter account last night, the Guns N' Roses frontman had unilaterally canceled the band's upcoming European tour.

"Festival Republic are informed by GN'R management that Guns N' Roses have NOT canceled their performances at Reading & Leeds and that Axl Rose's Twitter account was hacked into and all claims of dates being cancelled are unfounded," said a Festival Republic statement today (Aug. 16).

Rock 'N Rev Official Blames Equipment For GN'R Late Start

Sunday • August 15,  2010   8:29:46 AM   (CEST)

Axl Rose was not to blame for Guns N’ Roses late start at the Rock ‘N Rev festival Friday night, according to Dan Catullo, a festival founder. It was a technical glitch that took longer than expected to fix, he said Sunday.

The Rock ‘N Rev’s 30-camera video crew was busy working on its equipment after Alice In Chains left the stage, Catullo said.

As a result, Guns N’ Roses did not start until about 12:50 a.m. Saturday, even though they were scheduled to play around 11:30 p.m.

Adler on GN'R Reunion: "It's An All Axl Deal"

Sunday • August 1,  2010   10:41:52 PM   (CEST)

Here are the highlights (lowlights?) of ex-Guns N’ Roses drummer Steven Adler’s new memoir, “My Appetite for Destruction”: three suicide attempts, two heart attacks, a stroke and 28 overdoses. It’s a daunting list of abuse Adler incurred while dancing with Mr. Brownstone - one the newly sober Adler hopes he’ll never have to add to.

Adler’s sobriety has helped him repair some of his relationships with his ex-band mates. Slash has been supportive of Adler’s recovery and invited the drummer to play on a track on his recent solo album. But don’t think that a few of the Guns boys making amends is leading toward any kind of reunion.

“It’s not up to Slash or Duff or Izzy, who wouldn’t do it for the money but for the fans,” he said. “It’s all an Axl deal. He’s got to be the one to say OK. But I won’t pray to God to talk to Axl because if God tried to talk to Axl he’d make him wait. So I’m not going to bother God with that because he’ll come back to me saying, ‘Steven, you made me go talk to him and the (expletive) made me wait outside all day.”

Axl Rose Back In NYC

Sunday • July 25,  2010   12:12:11 PM   (CEST)

Axl Rose is back on the New York scene. After the Guns N' Roses rocker couldn't get a table Monday night at Aspen Social Club, where investment bankers were having a private party, he headed to the rooftop Highbar down the street. "Rose came with a young Asian woman who stuck close by his side and another couple," said a source. Later, the group ended up at Greenhouse for karaoke. Although Rose never took the mike, one patron who'd been staring at him in awe finally got up enough courage to sing his own version of "Welcome to the Jungle," to Rose's amusement.

Saturday • July 24,  2010   9:36:15 AM   (CEST)

Former Guns N' Roses guitarist and solo artist Gilby Clarke was riding his motorcycle in the Valley in Los Angeles on Jan. 10 of this year, trying to get home from a gig when he was the victim of a hit run. The perpetrator has not been caught, yet Clarke endured two broken legs, a pair of surgeries, physical therapy, walking with a cane and a pause in his music career.

"It's going to be a good year of treatment before I work normally," Clarke told Noisecreep in this exclusive interview. But his positive attitude is crucial to his recovery. "I should get most of my functions back. It will just will take a while. I don't have a choice. I have accept it."
