Guns N' Roses Warned Not To Be Late For Reading/Leeds
The boss of Reading and Leeds festival has said if headliners Guns N' Roses arrive on stage late, as they did in 2002, he'll pull the plug on their set.
Eight years ago Axl Rose's band were over two hours late at Leeds - it landed the festival trouble with the local council.
"If Guns N' Roses decide to take to stage as late as they did in Leeds some years ago then the performance just won't happen," said Melvin Benn.

Slash Talks Guns N' Roses Reunion and Heroin Addiction
This week, CNN Talk Asia catches up with the Slash in Hong Kong where he tells Anjali Rao about life after "Guns 'N Roses", his public battle with alcohol and drugs and his role as a father of two.
Despite the decade-long feud with former bandmate Axl Rose, Slash doesn't rule out a possible reunion: "I used to be very sort of negative about it cause I just don't see it happening, but at the same time you just never know. No efforts have been made to try and do anything about it, so I guess you just leave it to chance. Maybe it will. Maybe it won't."

Tommy Stinson Comments On Rumored Tour Cancelation
In a brand new interview with Cleveland, Ohio's classic rock radio station 98.5 WNCX, Guns N' Roses bassist Tommy Stinson spoke about the rumor that spread via the Inernet that the band's shows, including high-profile slots at England's Reading and Leeds festivals, were canceled after a message on Twitter from frontman Axl Rose suggested that the band was pulling out of its previously announced gigs.
"It's startling to me how stuff happens," Stinson said. "You know, it's stressful. It's like ya kinda think, 'OK, well, I've gotta get my life in order here 'cause I'm leaving in five days,' and then you hear something like that coming down the pike. And it's like Sunday night and you're like, 'How am I supposed to deal with that?' Everyone's just trying to figure out what's happening with it and how it happened and then I get the call that everything's fine, whatever — it's just some crazy shit going on."

Adler on Axl: "I Want Him to be a Part of My Life More"
Steve Johnson of Icon Vs. Icon sat down with original Guns N' Roses drummer Steven Adler to discuss his shocking new autobiography ‘My Appetite for Destruction: Sex, and Drugs, and Guns N’ Roses’, the future of Adler’s Appetite, his love for W. Axl Rose and much more! Excerpts of the interview:
Icon Vs. Icon: It seems, especially in the “rock media,” they tend to focus mainly on soundbites from you that paint Axl Rose in a negative light. Does this ever put you in a bad spot or become a bit of a burden?
Adler: No. Axl is one of the most wonderful people I have had in my life. He is an amazing singer. He’s up there as one of the top singers/entertainers. You have Freddie Mercury. You have Robert Plant. You have Steven Tyler. You have Axl Rose. It’s been a blessing being able to work with that guy. I want him to be a part of my life. He’s my brother. Like I said earlier, brothers fight. Enough with the fighting. Let’s move on … I want to finish what I started with him and the guys. I’m pretty sure they feel the same way. Axl has been nothing but a wonderful influence and a wonderful person to me. I love him and I want him to be a part of my life more. I’m thankful I have a history with him. No bad animosity. All love and respect.

The 2010 VMA Countdown: 1989 Flashback
The 2010 MTV Video Music Awards are only a few weeks away. The biggest party of the year features nominated clips by Lady Gaga, Eminem, Jay-Z, Ke$ha and Katy Perry and will feature performances by Kanye West, Justin Bieber, Drake, B.o.B and Florence and the Machine (with many more to be announced). In order to properly prepare yourself for what's to come, every day the MTV Newsroom Blog will deliver a classic moment in the history of the MTV Video Music Awards. Today's installment: Andrew Dice Clay pushes the Moonman too far.
The 1989 show was a fun, loose show that took place in Los Angeles and was hosted by Arsenio Hall. In many ways, it was a strange year, as Neil Young took home the prize for Video of the Year (for "This Note's For You," probably the least well-known of any winner of the top prize in VMA history) and the performances were a mixture of loud rock (Def Leppard, the Cult), funky pop (Bobby Brown, Paula Abdul) and esoteric stuff like the Cure and the odd tag-team between Tom Petty and Axl Rose. After taking the Best New Artist trophy the year before, Guns N' Roses netted the Best Heavy Metal Video Moonman for another indelible anthem, "Sweet Child O' Mine."
